Instagram Challenge #5: @myhealthrev

Hope we all have enjoyed dusting off those old albums today, getting our playlist ready to propel us into new goals and new achievements...especially for our new year. Today, I collected a bunch of my favourite gym music, trying to set the workout mindset I'll need next week when I can start to show exercise challenges. Also, I couldn't help myself with a little Motown as well cooking away the dinner again...the best!

Challenge#5. Music To Motivate
let's try something different today. How important is music in your life? It could be used as the source of motivation when you're on your last lap, helping override those thoughts of submission. It could be used as the pick-me-up when your mood is a little lower, or it could be blamed for swinging you partner around the floor all night, crying in laughter. The list is endless...
As James Kerr has said:
"Never be too big to do the small things that need to be done"
If you don't already have some music playlists set up, I suggest you use today to put together some of your favourite tracks to increase motivations when required. I have several for the gym, one for cooking, one for studying and one for just relaxing...they're an amazing tool to have. Simple is effective! Once the challenges continue, you will see the true value of music for our progress.

Challenge #4 Done

Challenge four done...we're well on the way to completing our first stage! Some Great feedback so far, Loving it! Hope you all have had the chance to try some new ways of including water into your diet...for me it was a matter of including one more glass with each meal, it's still surprising every time how stuffed you can become during meal times.

Great! So now we have fruit, vegetables and one new behaviour to exercise throughout our lives. No fireworks display yet...but foundations often don't. So now we focus on H2O. Drinking more water...it can be a chore to think about, or it could be the only thing on your mind when your on that last lap and are pretty sure your about to drop. So...nice and easy, let's find ways to introduce some water to our life. Fill a water bottle, overflow a glass or blend up some smoothies to increase your intake. 
Remember the previous blog when going through your day:
Performance = Capability + Behaviour 
Over-looking these small details allows a unstable foundation, let's give us the best possible chance of Performance...

Instagram With Veg: @myhealthrev

img_0040Challenge three complete! Feeling motivated. I hope some of you have tried some of that long lost fruit that before today, sat there gathering dust. Today I had a 'proper 'fruit salad, which I first tried on my International exchange to Finland...that being fruit and salad. It's in the title I know, but it's not that common to eat in Scotland. It's a strange mixture to eat soft banana with crunchy lettuce...but it was the challenge for today to introduce vegetables, so I took one for the team, no problem.

Instagram and Fruit: @myhealthrev

Challenge #2. Fruity Thirst
Challenge two done! Easy. Hope you all enjoyed trying some new fruits or throwing in some of the old favourites to be chopped up and demolished. My first serving of fruit shown was a pleasant change to the morning routine. I have to admit though the second one was the one that did it for me...that mango was incredible! If you took part, how did you get on? Did you get to try anything new? Let's keep the motivation high and power through the next one tomorrow. I suggest that for each stage, we practice each of our challenges to help build up an array of resources for our disposal to help us along the way.
